The Plateaus:- A Plateau is a land from that rises up from the surrounding land and has a more or less flat surface.

The Plains:- Plains are the landforms that have an extensive flat or gently undulating surface.

Significance to life and culture:- 

1. Mountain regions has rich flora and fauna.

2. Tourism is often an important source of income for the people living in the mountains.

3.  Plateaus have rich mineral deposits. 

4. Plateaus are the home to many spectacular waterfalls.

 5. Plains in many areas are important for doing agriculture work on a large-scale.

6. Plains have a gentle slopes,   river navigation is easy and support a lot of economic activities.

1. Plains can also face challenges such as the risk of flooding , which can damage crops and property.
